Welcome to the website of the Northern Ireland Medicines Governance Team.

The Team currently consists of six senior pharmacists working in the acute sector and an administrator dedicated to medication safety. Five new pharmacists will shortly join the Team to extend the medicines governance service to primary care.

This site provides access to the current medicine safety policies, guidelines and safety memoranda produced by the Team. In addition the latest version of the Medication Safety Today Newsletter can be found here.

We continue to work on various medicines safety initiatives and in order to keep you abreast of our latest developments, news bulletins will regularly be uploaded to this site.
